My husband and I have been buying and selling antiques for over 30 years now. We are particularly fond of rescuing letterpress related things. Straight out of college I went to work for a typographic service. My husband grew up in his father’s printing business. Our little press, a Kelsey Excelsior, is the first press my Father-in-law purchased as a young man during the Depression.
Hi Pamela, Kind of a round about way of finding you; looking at down/feather images on the internet. Am interested in any Ticking you may want to part with for my down pillows. I’ve only begun to look at your comments and am not too good at finding my way around the sites but I have an e-mail address if you’d like to talk about what you may have. I’d love to hear from you and I’ll keep reading. I like Lisa. My business name is “Abbey Downs” after my white Manz kitty. I opened a feather bed in my garage years ago; trying to salvage the feathers (lost cause). Abbey took over one pile. The only way I could see her was when she’d raise her head and open her eyes. Don’t know how she could breath but loved to sleep in it. Needless to say,,feather bedding is not a good choice for recycling other than it makes great compost material!
More later. Reading some more.
Carolyn
I meant Manx not manz…oops!
