One of the things that derails me from my to-do list and assorted projects is that the outcomes are not always equally exciting. This little stand is very sweet, but finishing it didn’t give me the same buzz as finishing the kitchen cupboard below. But people need more little stands than cupboards. I hope someone will love it though for the grace of the legs.
And then there is the project that comes straight from hell.
Here is the faux brick wall that Marc has been working on. I swear he was all for painting this before he started. But now he sounds a little like he was sold into the white slave trade for the purpose of painting this. It is hard to see in this photo, but there are black cracks around the bricks that the primer isn’t getting into. A customer said she painted one of these walls in her kitchen and used a toothbrush to get the paint into those crevices. When I passed this information along I thought his eyeballs were going to roll across the floor. Hopefully, this will turn out to be a show stopper in the end and we will still be married.

Oh, that brick wall does look like a challenge.
I don’t envy that job, but I’m sure it will look great when its all done.

I’m sure the brick will look great when your done. It’s just getting to that point…. It’s very nice of you husband to do that for you!
You’re my idol – having your hubby painting that and heading off to the auction!
